Establishing an online media platform for a prominent science research icon
Mission
Transform a print magazine into a leading online media platform with the ambitious goal of becoming the primary French science publication. CNRS, the French Center for Science Research, is Europe's foremost public research institution, and the online platform will elevate its presence and share groundbreaking findings with a wider audience, leveraging engaging content and a user-friendly digital experience.
Problem
Revitalize the brand and graphic identity, establish a new touchpoint, and develop a publication tool that is both memorable and enjoyable for readers and editors. Overcome the brand's austere image without sacrificing its seriousness and authority, while successfully reaching a larger audience.
Result
Since its launch in 2014, the website's traffic has consistently increased, making it the leading science website in France. Remarkably, the website has not undergone any changes since then. In an ironic twist, driven by the success of the online platform, CNRS decided to resurrect the print version in the form of a superb magazine, further expanding its reach and impact.
